The 47-year-old actor was arrested for DUI in California, with TMZ reporting that the incident occurred in an Arby’s parking lot in Yreka, a small city near the Oregon border.
The arrest took place around midnight on January 28, with local police allegedly apprehending Welling for driving under the influence. Sources suggest his blood alcohol level was at or above the legal limit of 0.08%.
Interestingly, just one day before the arrest, Tom had shared a heartfelt birthday message on Instagram for his wife, Jessica. “Happy Birthday to our Angel who makes our dreams come true and inspires us even more! We love you to the moon and back! @jessicarosewelling,” he wrote, accompanied by a few sweet photos.
While Tom doesn’t often make public appearances, he has been spotted at Comic-Con events from time to time. His most recent appearance was just two weeks ago at a Comic-Con event in New Orleans, so it’s clear he’s still engaged with his fanbase.
