Taylor Swift was by her friend’s side as she said “I do” at the altar.
In case you missed it, Lena Dunham is now Mrs. Luis Felber – the Girls creator and the musician tied the knot on Saturday (September 25) in an intimate ceremony at the Union Club in London (all guests were vaccinated and tested before the event). And Taylor wasn’t just a celebrity guest – she was one of the bridesmaids.
According to Vogue, Lena’s lineup of bridesmaids includes Taylor, “actor Myha’la Herrold; Rosa Mercuriadis; Tommy Dorfman; Ali Trustman; her cousin Jenna Hally Rubenstein; Felber’s sister Alma-Kori Felber; and Dunham’s podcasting partner, Alissa Bennett.”
For those who don’t know, the two ladies have been friends for years – Lena was among the celebs who made a cameo in Taylor’s star-studded “Bad Blood” music video. And Tay’s song “You Are In Love” is actually about Lena and then-boyfriend Jack Antonoff, who actually introduced them to each other.
While things didn’t quite work out between Lena and Jack – obviously, since she married another guy – it looks like Taylor and Lena has kept their friendship going strong. And it appears they’re all handling the whole breakup situation awesomely since Taylor and Jack are still working together as well.
Enough about the past. Let’s go back to the wedding.
Lena wore three custom gowns by Christopher Kane. To walk down the aisle, the bride wore a knee-length dress with lace long sleeves, which gave off “first Communion or a Madame Alexander doll” vibes, per the designer. Her second look showcased an intricately embroidered floor-length dress that she accessorized with a tiara. The final look was an A-line dress that featured an abstract painting of her and Luis.
The bridesmaids also had outfit changes – at first, they all wore white and blue floral printed dresses from The Vampire’s Wife, before changing into Sixties-inspired custom silver dresses with, as Lena put it, a “go-go energy.”
Vogue shared gorgeous photos from their special day in Instagram, which included a shot of Taylor sitting together with Tommy Dorfman, and comedian Jerrod Carmichael during the celebrations.
Lena and Luis, who is also known by his stage name Attawalpa, quietly dated for about a year before tying the knot.
