Sofia Richie and Elliot Grange have taken the next big step in their relationship – moving in to their swanky new Beverly Hills home.
Lionel Richie’s youngest daughter and the only son of Universal Music Group chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge became Instagram official in April of this year. And, apparently, they also bought a property together around the same time.
Located near the Beverly Hills Post Office, in a little cul-de-sac also known as “Music Row” – some of the neighbors include Rihanna’s two multi-million dollar homes and Sir Paul McCartney’s rental which was previously occupied by renowned music stars including Madonna and Mariah Carey – the six-bedroom mansion’s value has skyrocketed over the past few years.
According to Dirt.com, when it sold to a group of investors in 2018, the property was valued at $5 Million. Sofia and Elliot, however, ended up shelling out $17 Million for their new digs – and then some.
Since the home seriously needed an update, it took a few months before the couple actually moved in. Renovations has since turned the 1962 modernist home, originally designed by L.A. architect Charles G. Kanner, into Sofia and Elliot’s very own contemporary sanctuary.
With more than 8.000 square feet of living space, the home’s aesthetic is prominently influenced by Bauhaus-style architecture, with black steel frames and glass walls incorporated into the main ivory-colored structure.
From a lavish wood-and-marble kitchen outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances and an eat-in island to the library that “transforms into a movie theater at the touch of a button” – at least, according to the brochure, the home speaks of understated modern luxury.
There’s also plenty of room for entertaining – like the outdoor pool with adjoining cabana housing a lounge area, an alfresco dining area and a wet bar. There’s even an outdoor fireplace for chilly nights.
The master bedroom, which has its own fireplace and dual dressing rooms, opens to an outdoor terrace with splendid views of the property and the vistas beyond. It also comes with a lavish master bath, with his and hers sinks on opposite walls, a soaking tub surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass windows for enjoying the hillside views, and a glass-enclosed steam shower.
