Simone Ashley is embracing her single era!
The Bridgerton star has confirmed that she and boyfriend Tino Klein have split, and the timing is a little ironic—just as she’s promoting a brand-new romantic comedy.
The 29-year-old actress opened up about her relationship status during an appearance on the Woman’s Hour podcast while discussing her new Prime Video rom-com Picture This. “It’s kind of ironic I’m promoting a rom-com and as of January this year, I’ve been entering my single era,” she shared.
Despite the breakup, Simone is keeping things positive and focusing on herself. “So I’m focusing on me, and focusing on my work, and my inner confidence,” she said. “It feels like a different chapter from when Bridgerton came out, where things were just so crazy.”
Simone and Tino first went public with their romance back in March 2023, and though she hasn’t shared details about what led to their split, it’s clear she’s looking forward to a new phase of her life.
During the interview, she also reflected on how Bridgerton changed her career. “It’s something that I’ll cherish in my heart forever, that show and what it did for me, and it opened so many doors for me and hopefully starting to open doors for more women that look like me,” she said. “A lot of my dreams are coming true, so it’s been the most positive, amazing thing and gosh, it feels like so long ago that era where that show came out. My life really did turn upside down a little bit.”
From Bridgerton royalty to rom-com leading lady, Simone is stepping into her next chapter with confidence. And while she may be single, it sounds like she’s more than ready to embrace whatever comes next.
