Paris Hilton and fiancé Carter Reum have been gearing up to start their family together – she opened up about undergoing IVF treatments in January; they got engaged in February while celebrating Paris’ 40th birthday with family members on a private island.
On Tuesday (July 27), reports came out that the engaged couple were allegedly expecting their first child. However, Paris has since set the record straight on her This Is Paris podcast.
“The only thing in the oven at the moment is my ‘sliving lasagna!'” she said during Tuesday’s episode.
“I also woke up to about 3,000 texts. All my iPhones are blowing up, all five of them. Everyone wishing me congratulations and so happy for me. Heard from people I haven’t heard from in years,” Paris continued.
While she jokingly made a comment about being pregnant with triplets, Paris added, “I’m just kidding. I am not pregnant. Not yet. I’m waiting until after the wedding.”
She is very much looking forward to starting a family with Carter though, but doubled down on the timeline.
“I can’t wait to have a family with him,” she said on her podcast. “It’s something that I’ve really been looking forward to and we’ve talked about a lot ever since we’ve been together, just having a family is going to be so exciting and how cute they’re going to be, and how fun it’s going to be. First the wedding, then the babies.”
Paris and Carter are in the midst of planning their upcoming wedding – she’s previously shared some of the preparations they’ve been making for their big day.
“We just started shooting our new show, Paris in Love, on Peacock and we’re shooting in New York just now, actually, and getting ready for the dress fitting and just planning the bachelorette party. There’s a lot,” Paris shared during the premiere of her documentary, This Is Paris, at the Tribeca Festival last month. “So I’m really excited to share that with all my fans.”
She also revealed some non-traditional twists they’ll be incorporating into the wedding – like including her adorable pup.
“You know, I’m not your traditional bride,” Paris shared at the time. “There has to be my little Chihuahua, Diamond Baby.”
While having a bun in the oven might not be happening before the wedding, Paris did say that she “can’t wait to have children in 2022.”
She has been candid about wanting twins – a girl and a boy – thus, their decision to go the IVF route. She has previously revealed that she wanted to name her eventual daughter London. And she also revealed that she’s already picked out the name for the son she will one day have.
“I love London and Paris together. And for my boy, I want to name him after a city or a country or a state as well,” she said on her podcast. “I have the name but I’m not going to say it yet. I might keep it a surprise. I don’t want anyone stealing my baby name for that one.”
As of late, Paris has been pretty busy with a number of projects – including her upcoming Paris In Love reality series on Peacock, and an upcoming cooking show on Netflix Cooking With Paris. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, however, she also opened up about preparing to shift her focus to motherhood.
“I always love being a boss babe. I love working hard. I’m running a huge empire so I’m always focused on my business,” Paris shared with the outlet. “But one day when I become a mother, I’m not going to be traveling the way that I used to. It was way too much.”
