Leonardo DiCaprio’s beach house just got a major upgrade. He’s the proud new owner of a $13.8 Million beachfront property in Malibu – a two-story home boasting approximately 3,200 square feet of traditional-style living space and leads right down to the beach.

Leo’s new beach house has four bedrooms and five bathrooms and is well away from public access. It’s one of only five houses in the very exclusive gated community of Blue Whales Estates, and their stretch of the beach is pretty secluded, too!

Among his very few neighbors are music legend Neil Diamond and Parasoft CEO Elizabeth Kolawa.

According to Dirt.com, Leo’s new Malibu digs wasn’t even actually on the market. And since the whole deal, which closed sometime last month, happened off the market, there aren’t even photos of the home’s interiors.

But Leo’s actually got other properties around Malibu – like his $23 Million lot in Paradise Cove. He’s had it since 2017, but so far, there hasn’t been any development in the works in the vacant lot.

As for his beach house in Carbon Beach, it appears he’s ready to bid it goodbye. It’s been part of his real-estate portfolio since 1998 – he bought the two-story, three-bedroom home following the release of Titanic for $1.6 Million.

Over the years, it’s been “meticulously renovated” and his mom Ermelin has reportedly stayed in it part-time. He’s also listed it for lease a few times, with a $50,000/month price tag. It was once up for sale, back in 2016, for $10.95 Million but was later pulled off the market. However, it’s recently been listed for sale again for an even $10 Million!

The 1,765 square foot home features an open-plan living space with bleached hardwood floors. There’s a stone-faced fireplace, a kitchen galley, a dining area that opens up to an ocean-side deck. It also has a spacious glass-lined deck perfect for al fresco lounging, dining and sunbathing and a private stairway leading right down to the beach.

Meanwhile, the upstairs houses the bedrooms and media room – and the rooms facing the ocean have a slender balcony that offers panoramic ocean views.

It’s no secret that Leo has an impressive real-estate portfolio. He owns several luxury condos in New York, two multi-million dollar homes in Los Feliz, a mansion in Palm Springs, and his Los Angeles home in the Bird Streets neighborhood. He’s even got his very own private island off the coast of Belize.
