Kylie Jenner is finally sharing the truth behind her friendship break with Jordyn Woods! In a recent interview with Elle, the 27-year-old beauty mogul opened up about her relationship with Jordyn and why she’s keeping her love life—especially her romance with Timothée Chalamet—private.

Jordyn was accused of getting a little too close to Tristan Thompson, who was Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriend at the time, and it led to a major rift between the two friends.
But now, Kylie is setting the record straight. According to her, they never truly cut ties, despite how things might have seemed from the outside. “I was heartbroken,” Kylie shared, reflecting on the situation. “We’ve always tried to talk through things, so it’s never been a full cold-turkey cutoff; it was needed distance. Anytime something happened, good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her.”
That sense of loss hit Kylie hard. Losing Jordyn as her go-to person felt isolating, but she admits it was a learning experience. “To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that. I learned so much, gained so much independence, and was there for myself,” she explained. “It helped me grow up a little bit, because we were so attached at the hip.”
Looking back, Kylie believes that space was necessary for both of them. “I think that in order for us both to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do as well.”
While Kylie has been making headlines lately for her budding romance with actor Timothée Chalamet, she’s not too keen on giving the world a front-row seat to her private life. In the interview, she didn’t name-drop Timothée but gave a little insight into why she keeps things close to the chest when it comes to her relationships.
“I think it’s important to keep things to yourself,” Kylie said, touching on the challenges of being in the public eye. She explained how tough it can be to make decisions when everyone has an opinion about your life. “It’s hard for me to make a decision by myself sometimes, so the opinion of the whole world…it can be tough.”
For Kylie, maintaining some level of privacy seems to be key to her sanity, especially as someone constantly in the spotlight. Whether it’s about her friendships or her love life, she’s choosing to protect her personal moments more than ever.
