Kylie Jenner is on Forbes’ annual World Billionaires list for the second year in a row – and she’s keeping the youngest self-made billionaire title, while she’s at it.
According to Forbes, the 22-year-old makeup mogul is worth $1 Billion – add up selling 51% of her company to Coty, Inc. for $600 Million plus ownership of the remaining 49% stake in the company equals her 10-digit fortune.
After getting a lot of flak last year for hailing her as a “self-made” billionaire, with some pointing out that she’s gotten a lot of help from her famous family, the magazine also defends bestowing her the title (again), explaining, “She didn’t inherit her business —she built it.”
Amid self-quarantining, Kylie is also helping out in the fight against the coronavirus crisis affecting the globe.
Kylie, her mom and manager, Kris Jenner, and Coty, Inc – the beauty conglomerate who invested in Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin – have teamed up to produce hand sanitizers, which will be donated to the emergency and healthcare workers on the front lines of the current COVID-19 public health crisis.
ABC News reports that each hand sanitizer will even be customized with a sweet message for the recipients: “Dedicated to first responders working to support our communities.”
Kylie has already donated $1 Million to help provide health workers with necessary supplies like masks and PPEs.
On Wednesday (March 25), Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, who delivered Kylie’s daughter, Stormi, a little over two years ago, shared the news on Instagram.
“I am speechless, my eyes are filled with tears of joy and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. I made a wish to the Universe to gather protective masks for our brave healthcare workers and today my dream came true,” Dr. Aliabadi wrote. “One of my patients, a beautiful Living Angel just donated $1,000,000 to help us buy hundreds of thousands of masks, face shields, and other protective gear which we will have delivered directly to our first responders, as too many masks at hospitals are disappearing before making their way onto the faces of our front line heroes.”
“I have never felt more blessed to be a doctor, as helping our brave ER and ICU workers feels just as gratifying as helping my own patients,” she continued. “From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU @kyliejenner ❤️. You are my hero. This generous donation will help save many precious lives. Our world is a better place with you in it. I love you so much. Thank you X a million.”
“i love you! and thank YOU for all the love and care you put into everything that you do! you’re an angel on earth,” Kylie commented on the post.
