KJ Apa and Clara Berry are officially parents!
The couple welcomed their first child together on Thursday (September 23) – a baby boy!
The 27-year-old model shared the happy news on Sunday (September 26), posting a photo of their newborn son’s adorable tiny hand on hers.
“Sasha Vai Keneti Apa, born on the 23rd of September,” Clara captioned the photo. “He is a perfect perfection. I am the luckiest to have now two men of my life, filling my heart with this cosmic gigantic vast love. ❤️🔥.”
The couple have since gotten lots of love and messages of congratulations from fans and friends alike.
“Rivers soon to be bestie,” Vanessa Morgan declared, referring to her son, whom she welcomed in January.
Charles Melton sent three heart emojis their way.
“Can’t wait to meet him 😍❤️ congratulations ❤️❤️❤️,” Lili Reinhart commented.
“Congrats mama!!!!” Madeleine Petsch added.
“such a beautiful name. congrats clara!! 🥺💖,” Camila Mendes chimed in.
KJ also shared the news in a video on Instagram, where he let fans in on a little trivia: his son was born the same day he dropped his album Clocks.
“He’s doing good and Clara’s doing amazing,” he added, and thanked fans for all the love and support.
KJ and Clara first sparked dating speculations in February last year, when he posted a since-deleted photo of himself holding a drink while getting some kisses and cuddles from a woman wearing a baseball cap, which he captioned, ”Coup de foudre ☺️,” which is French for “love at first sight.”
However, fans speculated they may have started dating much earlier – based on some of the earlier interviews that KJ did. In December 2019, he told WIRED that he was “very much in love right now” though he didn’t drop any names.
They’ve since been popping up on each other’s feeds, and shared sweet tributes for each others’ birthdays – Clara’s in December, and KJ’s in January.
The Riverdale actor revealed that they were expecting back in May, sharing a photo of himself and his girlfriend, model Clara Berry, lounging on a couch with her bare baby bump on display. The photo was kind of dark, so it might not entirely be clear for some.
On the same day, Clara also shared a bunch of maternity pics on her IG, with her Fendi sweatsuit styled to show off her growing baby bump and KJ further confirmed the news in the comments, writing, “she’s pregnant btw.”
“We are ❤️,” Clara responded.
