Over the weekend, Hollywood’s female elite gathered for a star-studded women-only event at producer Jennifer Klein’s Los Angeles home: her annual Day Of Indulgence.

According to InStyle, among the lucky ladies who got an invite to the exclusive event were Jennifer Lopez, who attended with her daughter Emme, Kerry Washington, Diane Lane, Angela Bassett, Olivia Rodriguez, Tyra Banks, Nina Dobrev, Colby Smulders, Yara Shahidi, Gabrielle Union, Maya Rudolph, Christina Hendricks, and more.

Debra Messing describes the annual event, where women get to enjoy a day of pampering, socializing and lots of free swag, as something many look forward to during summer.

“Jennifer started this over 15 years ago and it has always been the one thing in the summer to look forward to,” Debra shared. “It’s just a really great women’s day, not feeling like we have to be fancy, not feeling like you have to dress up for anybody. And I just keep saying, ‘Same time next year!'”

Precautions were also taken to ensure everyone’s safety – attendees were all required to wear masks, and there were hand sanitizing stations and baskets of hand sanitizers everywhere. Guests were also limited to one to two persons at a time inside the “shopping room.”

“We’re living in a time that is so unpredictable and I felt like it was my responsibility to bring back the fun to the ladies this year in a safe way,” Jennifer shared.

Christina also gave details on how the guests easily complied with the precautionary measures.

“I think that in one year we’ve all learned to live with this,” she told the magazine. “Masks are not as difficult, being social where we know how to sort of keep our distance, and be safe. It’s a very respectful group, so everyone’s keeping their eye out for one another, being polite, being kind and it feels like a safe place.”

The event, which showcased an array of decadent sweets, trendy accessories, beauty products, pop-up fashion boutiques and more, gave the stars a chance to enjoy a fun day of reuniting with friends, shopping, and lots of free gifts.

“I really love seeing my friends. I love being able to see them,” Kerry tells the magazine. “Like, I adore Cynthia [Erivo]. I don’t see her enough, but today I got to shop with her, my Scandal girls, and obviously Rashida. It’s just nice to see friends and catch up. I saw people I hadn’t seen in a long time.”

So, what’s it like to be part of the event for the first time?

“It’s overwhelming in the best way. There’s beautiful people and you get all these goodies, and I think everyone is just ready to be indulging in goodness and wellness and excited to get out of the house,” Insecure‘s Yvonne Orji shared.

According to an Entertainment Tonight source, J.Lo didn’t just pick out stuff for herself and her daughter – she also got thoughtful gifts for boyfriend Ben Affleck’s two daughters, Violet and Seraphina, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

“While there, Jennifer checked out the Made by Mary station and picked out necklaces for herself and Emme, as well as Ben Affleck’s daughters, Violet and Seraphina,” the source said. “The necklaces Jennifer picked out are from the brand’s birth flower collection and she selected a July Lotus, February Violet, December Holly and a January Carnation to match their birthday months.”

“Jennifer mentioned that she planned to gift Violet and Seraphina the necklaces later that night at Ben’s 49th birthday celebration,” the source added.
