Travis Barker took his first plane ride in over a decade over the weekend, flying to Cabo, Mexico with girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian, her mom Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble. And they definitely traveled in style. Their vessel of choice? Kylie Jenner’s private plane.
Wondering what it’s like inside their swanky ride? We’ve got you covered.
According to Airly, the beauty mogul’s very own Kylie Air aircraft is a Bombardier Global 7500, an ultra-long-range business jet can fly 14,260 km non-stop – that’s more than enough mileage to get from Los Angeles to Dubai, fly from Atlanta to South Africa, or touch down in many other exotic locales.
Of course, that kind luxury and performance doesn’t come cheap – per The Sun, the tricked out aircraft came with a whopping $72.8 Million price tag. And at eight feet wide and almost 60 feet long, it’s definitely not your typical airliner.
The luxe jet features an entertainment suite, a master suite, two bathrooms, a gallery, crew rest area, closet that you can actually hang clothes in, and plenty of room for baggage. Kylie also had the sleek white aircraft customized with her brand – as in there’s a pink stripe around the plane’s exterior, along with the words “Kylie Skin” on the side.
The outlet also reports that the big-ticket luxury spend happened months before the pandemic hit. The Kylie Cosmetics founder reportedly bought It to help transport her family and friends to their destinations of choice – like their Kylie Skin summer trip in 2019, Stormi’s first trip to Disneyland for her 2nd birthday last year, the KarJenner clan flying to Wyoming for niece North West’s seventh birthday, and a girls’ trip with her family to Turks and Caicos for Stormi’s third birthday earlier this year.
Kylie herself has given fans glimpses of the plane’s interiors on social media, showcasing the plush white passenger seats. Another featured the seats embellished with custom pink satin pillows and sleep masks emblazoned with Kylie Skin. She also shared a photo of herself sitting solo in a reclining passenger seat draped with an Hermes blanket, which also showed off a long bar with her name in neon lights in the background.
Her sister, Khloe Kardashian, has also shared a snap of the view from the plane’s window, which was illuminated with pink lighting. The photo also captures a glimpse of the seat’s built-in coasters that says “Kylie Air” on the surface.
This luxurious aircraft is undoubtedly a great way to travel – and the plush interiors are cozy enough to make even the most nervous of flyers feel comfy.
Travis hasn’t gotten on a plane since 2008, after surviving a deadly plane crash. The two pilots, his security guard Charles Still, and assistant Chris Baker, were killed in the crash; he and Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein were the only survivors. The terrifying incident also left him with serious third degree burns that covered 65% of his body, which required multiple surgeries and skin grafts and had him in burn center for four months.
In the years since, Travis has chosen to travel by land or by sea – cars, bus, ships, etc. However, he remained hopeful that he will one day get over his fear of flying.
“If I do it, and the angels above help me in my travels and keep me safe, I would like to come back and [tell my children], ‘Hey, I just flew here, and then I flew home. And everything was fine.’ I have to tell them, because I almost left them,” he went on. “That’s a perfect day.”
And, in June, he went on Twitter to share that that possibility was close to becoming a reality.
“I might fly again,” he wrote, adding a plane emoji in his tweet.
While Travis was an hour late for their flight, he did make it on board. And it appears all went well with his return to the skies – TMZ was able to snap photos of the Blink 182 drummer disembarking from Kylie’s plane in Cabo on Saturday (August 14) with a Goyard luggage tote on his shoulders.
