Chris Hemsworth had a pretty sweet 38th birthday.
The Thor star celebrated another year around the sun on Wednesday (August 11), and his kids made him a little something special for the occasion.
The birthday boy went on Instagram to share photos of his low-key birthday bash at home with his family and the adorable surfing-themed cake he got for his special day – handmade with love by his children, 9-year-old daughter India and 7-year-old twin sons, Sasha and Tristan, whom he shares with wife Elsa Pataky.
“Thanks for all the birthday messages!” he began the caption before proceeding to regale fans with details from the celebration.
“Had an epic day with the family and succeeded in devouring 75% of this awesome cake that my kids made before collapsing into a giant sugary heap of joy,” he added. “Love you all! Cheers.”
In honor of his 38th birthday, Chris got a lot of birthday wishes from fans and a really sweet birthday tribute from Elsa.
His wife of over ten years shared a slideshow of photos of the two of them throughout the years – including one where he was cuddled up with their three kids.
“Happy birthday to my favorite husband ever,” she wrote in the caption. “You mean the world to me. For many more years of laughs and happiness.”
His brothers Luke and Liam, on the other hand, gave him some Hemsworth brotherly love – read: they trolled him on social media.
“Happy birthday brother @chrishemsworth !! Love you mate will remember this trip the Kimberly region for ever. So many memories together 😂” older brother Luke wrote on Instagram.
“Happy birthday @chrishemsworth,” younger brother Liam wrote on his post.
The thing is, both brothers posted photos of the two of them together – sans the birthday boy. Chris took their ribbing good-naturedly, hitting back with some jokingly snarky responses.
“Yeh, it was so much fun, kinda felt like a dream, kinda like I wasn’t even there,” he commented on Luke’s post.
“Im the best photographer goin round,” Chris responded to Liam.
