Sandra Bullock has previously stated that she will be taking a break from acting — and in a new interview, she is doubling down on her planned hiatus.

The Oscar-winning actress dropped her rom-com The Lost City recently. She also has a small role on Brad Pitt’s new film Bullet Train, which will be released in August. It’s looking like those two films are the last we’ll be seeing of Sandra for a while on the big screen. And in her interview with THR, she’s also revealed that she’s not sure just when she’ll be making a return.

Sandra explained what drove her to decide to take a break:

“I don’t want to be beholden to anyone’s schedule other than my own. I’m so burnt out.

I’m so tired, and I’m so not capable of making healthy, smart decisions and I know it.”

She was asked about how long this hiatus will last, to which Sandra said:

“I really don’t know.”

And she went on to share:
“Work has always been steady for me, and I’ve been so lucky. I realized it possibly was becoming my crutch.

It was like opening up a fridge all the time and looking for something that was never in the fridge. I said to myself, ‘Stop looking for it here because it doesn’t exist here. You already have it. Establish it, find it and be OK not having work to validate you.”
