It’s official—”Cobra Kai” stars Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser are engaged! The longtime co-stars revealed their relationship in a big way, making their red carpet debut as a couple at the Season Six, Part Three premiere of the hit Netflix series on February 12. But that wasn’t the only surprise of the night—the duo also flashed matching rings, confirming their engagement in style.
Netflix wasted no time in spreading the news, taking to X (formerly Twitter) the next day to share the exciting update. “COBRA CRYING BECAUSE TANNER BUCHANAN & MARY MOUSER ARE ENGAGED,” the streaming giant’s official account posted on February 13—the same day the final episodes of “Cobra Kai” dropped.
Shortly after, Buchanan and Mouser made things even more official by sharing a joint Instagram post, marking the first time they publicly commented on their relationship. “We’re so happy to finally share that we’re engaged,” they wrote. “This is such a special moment in our lives, the closing of one chapter and celebrating the continuation of another. We’re so grateful for the love and support, and though we’re partial to having our private moments, we’re excited to share this check-in to our world.”
While they’ve been spotted together before—including attending a Taylor Swift concert in 2023—the actors had never publicly addressed dating rumors. Their on-screen characters, Sam LaRusso and Robby Keene, were once romantically linked in “Cobra Kai’s” early seasons, but their storylines eventually took different paths. Off-screen, however, their love story has just begun.
Buchanan, known for roles in “He’s All That” and “Designated Survivor,” and Mouser, who plays Ralph Macchio’s on-screen daughter, Sam, aren’t the only “Cobra Kai” couple. Their co-stars Jacob Bertrand (Hawk) and Peyton List (Tory) have been dating since at least 2022.
With their engagement now out in the open, fans will be eagerly awaiting what’s next for this Netflix-favorite couple!
