Dwayne Johnson just made a very interesting and super cute reveal about himself and Ryan Reynolds!
The two only worked together for the very first time in the recently-released Netflix blockbuster film Red Notice. But though it may only have been in 2021 that we saw them star alongside each other on screen, it turns out that off screen, Dwayne and Ryan have been friends for many, many years.
In fact, Dwayne has shared that he has actually known Ryan longer than he has known any other actor in Hollywood! In an IMDb Burning Questions interview, Dwayne said about Ryan:
“I have now known any actor in Hollywood longer than I’ve known Ryan Reynolds. We started out career together. I had the Scorpion King come out. He had Van Wilder come out. We were criss-crossing promotions. We would up in Cancun on MTV Spring Break promoting our movies!
We’re like an old couple who bicker and fight. And of course, we love and respect each other.”

Dwayne also revealed something surprising about Ryan. He dished:
“He has so many sneakers, racks and racks and stacks and stacks of sneakers. And when he shared this with me, I looked at him and said, ‘Man, you know, I gotta tell you. I couldn’t give a shit any more than right now at this moment with the information you’re telling me. And if you ever waste my time again with your obsession with sneakers!”
Yep, like a married old couple indeed!
