Demi Lovato is 29 and slaying.

The popstar, who celebrated another year around the sun on Friday (August 20), jetted off to the Maldives to celebrate with some fun in the sun – in a head-turning “birthday suit” no less!

Sharing photos and videos from their beach trip on Instagram, Demi posed for a bunch of photos backdropped by their picturesque surroundings – on a sandbar, a flat hammock-like net suspended above the sea, on the beach, and on the edge of an infinity pool overlooking the ocean – all while wearing a sheer white one-piece swimsuit.

“Alexa, play Birthday Suit by @duckwrth 🌊🐬🦋 (📸: @libbykelter),” they wrote in the caption.

Their post has since gotten a lot of love from fans and famous friends alike.

Duckwrth wrote, “It ain’t Prada, naw it’s way mo cute.”

Chelsea Handler commented, “Nice tush.”

“Holy wow so heavenly beautiful,” Drew Barrymore chimed in.

In their recently released single, “Melon Cake,” which dropped on their birthday, Demi sings of their struggles with eating disorders – and the watermelon “cake” she used to have for her past birthdays.

Demi has previously opened up about not being able to have birthday cakes on their birthday.

“For many years, I didn’t even have a birthday cake,” they shared in a March 2020 interview. “I had a watermelon cake, where you cut your watermelon into the shape of a cake and then you put fat-free whipped cream on top.”

“For years I did that, and it kind of became this ongoing joke,” Demi continued. “But I just really wanted birthday cake.”

They have also been candid with fans about their body image issues in the past.

Back in 2019, they posted an unedited bikini pic on Instagram captioned, “This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited. And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!! I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited – and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. This is what I got.”

This year, Demi out there living their best life – and singin’ “No more melon cakes for birthdays/ No more barricades in doorways / Finally get to do things my way.”

Happy Birthday, Demi!
