Last week, Chrishell Stause went on Instagram to share a photo of the elaborate floral delivery she received for her 40th birthday.
Posing in a room full of rose bouquets and balloons, she wrote, “Thank you SO much for all the birthday love!!! I am overwhelmed and so grateful for all the people in my life!!!”
“Walked into the most special surprise yesterday. This is all I could fit into the photo 😆😅,” she continued, adding, “*they are all going to a nursing home tomorrow because I don’t think this would make it past TSA.”
She didn’t reveal who the elaborate gift was from – until now.
On Wednesday (July 28), Chrishell confirmed that she does have a new man in her life – and it’s none other than her Selling Sunset co-star Jason Oppenheim.
The new couple made their romance Instagram official after posting loved-up photos from their Italian vacation with Brett Oppenheim, Tina Louise, Mary Fitzgerald and Romain Bonnet.
Jason also opened up about their relationship, telling E! News, “Chrishell and I became close friends and it has developed into an amazing relationship. I care about her deeply and we are very happy together.”
And they’re not the only ones thrilled about the relationship.
“Love you Chrishell,” Brett commented on her post. “Thank you for making my brother happy.”
“Nothing makes me more excited than to see two of my closest friends together and making each other so happy!” Mary added.
Chrishell has also since updated her birthday post to add: “****Annnnd now that you guys know…thank you SO much @jasonoppenheim.”
According to Page Six, Jason has previously expressed that he’s not too keen on dating someone he worked with, saying it “probably wouldn’t be an epic idea.”
“It’s not that I’ve taken a step back from dating — it’s not on my priority list to be honest,” he told the outlet in May. “And no, that wouldn’t be a priority for me. I think that would be complicated.”
“I opened up another office in Newport Beach, so I’m stretched pretty thin right now,” he added. “Dating is just not a priority for me right now.”
It appears things have changed since. And he’s already publicly shown support for Chrishell even before they went public with their romance.
Last month, reports came out that she got herself some new digs – a four-bedroom home in Hollywood Hills. But as news of her new purchase made the headlines, some reports mistakenly credited Jason as the agent for the sale.
Chrishell went on social media to refute those claims and give credit where credit is due.
“I just got told that a story came out about my house, and it says that Jason was the agent on it, and I really don’t feel like this happens to men. I was my agent. I did it,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “I don’t know what happened there. I just want to be very clear: I worked on this. Yes, I used Jason to help me, he’s my broker. But I was the damn agent, OK? Give me some credit. Thank you.”
Jason also went on his IG Story to address the reports as well. “So I just saw Chrishell’s story, where unfortunately there were press articles about the sale of her house that credit me as being the agent that represented her, but that’s not the case. Chrishell represented herself. I think it’s quite frustrating for her,” he said.
