Chris Pratt is one of Hollywood’s hottest actors – literally and figuratively. He’s known for bringing on the swag and the laughs onscreen, but, apparently, that wasn’t always the case IRL.
According to an Us Weekly source, Chris had a pretty unhealthy self-image during the time he was in a relationship with ex-wife, Anna Faris.
“Chris was very insecure about himself before he started dating Katherine [Schwarzenegger]. He never felt ‘good enough’ for Anna Faris, and then when their relationship started to go downward, he was angry and not liking who he was,” the source says.
As a refresher, Chris and Anna were married for eight years before splitting in 2017. They finalized their divorce in November the next year.
Although it’s sad that things didn’t work out between Chris and Anna, they’ve both since found new love – Chris with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter, Katherine; Anna with Michael Barrett.
Chris and now-wife Katherine began sparking romance rumors in June 2018. By January of the next year, they announced their engagement – and Anna’s totally supportive of them.
“Sweet Chris, my ex, got engaged to Katherine today and I’m so happy for them. I knew that it was gonna happen, and I love her and I love him. I’m just so happy that they found each other,” Anna said on her Unqualified podcast at the time, and revealed her reaction when he gave her the heads up about the announcement. “Chris texted me this morning and he was like, you know, I proposed to Katherine last night. And I was like ahhh, that’s amazing.”
By summer of 2019, they were Mr. and Mrs.
The source says it was Katherine who helped him be as confident on the inside as he seemed on the outside.
“Katherine really changed all of that and Chris has a much healthier self-image now. He goes out with friends more and is overall just much happier. Chris is much more laid-back with Katherine and is so comfortable and happy,” the source added.
Anna also recently confirmed that she and Michael have taken the next step in their relationship after two years of dating during her appearance on The Late Late Show last month.
James Corden pointed out the “unbelievable” canary yellow bling she was sporting on that finger.
“This was not here the last time you were on the show,” James exclaimed. “Look at this ring!”
“Who are you marrying, Mark Zuckerberg?” James joked. “Congratulations on the engagement.”
Looks like all’s well that ends well.
