Cardi B seems to be confirming her new relationship status.
The “WAP” rapper went on Instagram to share a photo of herself dressed in a red latex outfit with devil horns. She captioned it, “Single,bad and rich. I do the controlling.”
At the time of this writing, over six million fans have tapped that like button – and it seems her estranged hubby is showing his support for her journey as a single woman ‘cause he double-tapped on the post, too!
Cardi and Offset secretly tied the knot in 2017. However, their marriage hasn’t exactly been wedded bliss – they’ve gone through some pretty public breakups and makeups over the years amid reports that Offset had been unfaithful. The now-estranged couple share a 2-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari.
Last month, Cardi filed for divorce from her hubby of three years in Fulton County, Georgia, and a hearing has been set for November 4.
She’s since opened up about the reason for the split, going on Instagram Live.
“Nothing crazy out of this world happened. Sometimes people really do f–king grow apart. I’ve been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man,” she said. “You just get tired of the arguments and the buildup. You get tired sometimes. And before something bad happens, before you get left, before you get cheated on, you sometimes just want to leave. What is so bad about that?”
She also reportedly told her followers on OnlyFans that being single was her choice and that she “could date any man I want.”
“You cannot hurt my feelings trying to throw the divorce in my face because, at the end of the day, I decided I wanted to leave,” Cardi said. “I didn’t wait until he cheated on me again. I didn’t wait [for] another controversy with him being involved. I decided to leave. If I wanted to stay, I could have stayed. I decided to leave.”
“My DMs are flooded. I don’t actually want to date nobody. I’m so focused on my business that it’s crazy,” she added.
