In the unfolding legal drama surrounding the film “It Ends With Us,” actor Adam Mondschein has publicly addressed allegations made by co-star Blake Lively regarding an intimate birthing scene. Lively’s lawsuit against director and co-star Justin Baldoni includes claims that the set was “chaotic, crowded, and utterly lacking in standard industry protections for filming nude scenes.” She specifically objected to Baldoni casting a friend as her on-screen obstetrician, stating, “Ms. Lively felt that the selection of Mr. Baldoni’s friend for this intimate role… was invasive and humiliating.”

Mondschein, who portrayed the doctor in the contentious scene, expressed surprise at Lively’s allegations. In a statement to Page Six, he said, “I’m not going to speculate as to Ms. Lively’s motivations for mentioning me in the complaint. Needless to say, my experience working with her is very different than the one she described in her lawsuit.”

He detailed the on-set conditions, asserting that Lively was appropriately attired: “Her costume included a full hospital gown, black shorts, and torso-covering prosthetic to make her appear pregnant in addition to whatever personal garments she chose.” Mondschein emphasized that Lively “never complained or expressed discomfort at any point because nothing unusual or improper occurred. It was entirely professional.”

Addressing concerns about his casting, Mondschein stated, “Ms. Lively’s insinuations regarding my qualifications are offensive, as my bonafides are easily searchable online.” He clarified that he was a local hire, noting, “I, like any actor accepting that contract, was required to cover my own travel and living expenses in connection with the job.”

The legal battle has garnered significant attention, with industry figures taking sides. Lively’s “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” co-stars—America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel—voiced their support, stating, “As Blake’s friends and sisters for over twenty years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation.”

Baldoni has countered Lively’s claims with a $400 million lawsuit, alleging defamation and civil extortion. His legal team contends that Lively’s accusations are part of a “duplicitous attempt to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team and their respective companies.”

As the case progresses, Mondschein has expressed willingness to testify, stating, “If I’m called to testify in the case I will answer truthfully, and more freely, whatever is asked of me with all the legal protection that affords.” The trial is set for March 2026, promising further developments in this high-profile dispute.
