Look who’s back with new music!

Billie Eilish released two new songs on Thursday (July 21), to the surprise and delight of fans. The 20-year-old singer-songwriter debuted “TV” and “The 30th”, which make up the Guitar Songs EP.

Both of the newly-released tracks are produced by her brother and longtime collaborator Finneas. He co-wrote them with Billie as well.

Billie first performed “TV” during her concert in Manchester back in June, which placed the spotlight on many hot topic in pop culture. That performance marked the first time in over four years that she played a song prior to it being released.

In a statement, Billie said about dropping her two new songs:

“Finneas and I really wanted these to be yours as soon as possible. So here they are!!

Performing ‘TV’ on tour was such a highlight for us too, so we took the audio from the first night we played it in Manchester and put it in the song. I get shivers every time I hear it.

Hope you love the songs and thank you for letting us share our music with you.”

With the new tracks now streaming, Billie told Music 1’s Zane Lowe that she wants to release a new album next year, but fans should temper their excitement as she is currently focusing on the creation process and not the end result. She stated:

“Especially when you get bigger, every drop is this big deal of you got to send it in five months before you want it to come out because you have to get finals ready and you have to set a date and you have to shoot the video and you have to do the press for it and you have to do a shoot for it and you have to do a promo for it and you have to get the artwork and you have to do this and that and this and that.

It’s been so long since I’ve had music that we make and then it’s out.

That’s our roots. That’s how Finneas and I started writing music, is on an instrument with just us. I wanted to go back and do it how we used to do it.”
