Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally reached a settlement in their long-running divorce, closing a significant chapter in their legal saga.

The former power couple, whose two-year marriage ended over eight years ago, has been embroiled in legal battles ever since. But on Monday (December 30), Angelina’s lawyers confirmed that both parties had signed off on the divorce, according to People.

In a statement, Angelina’s legal team shared, “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”

While Angelina has officially moved past this phase of the divorce, it hasn’t been an easy road. An insider close to her revealed, “She doesn’t speak ill of [Pitt] publicly or privately. She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time.”

On the other side, Brad’s rep has chosen not to comment or confirm details about the settlement.

Though this resolution marks a milestone, the pair are still locked in another legal battle concerning Château Miraval, the French winery they once co-owned. This separate lawsuit has become yet another chapter in their complicated post-split relationship.

Fans and onlookers have followed the ups and downs of their divorce closely, given the couple’s high-profile history and shared family of six children. As the dust begins to settle on one of Hollywood’s most dramatic splits, both stars seem ready to move forward. While their legal issues aren’t entirely resolved, this step brings them closer to finding closure after years of conflict.
