Amanda Bynes is sharing her health journey with fans, opening up about her recent weight loss and her commitment to feeling better, physically and mentally.

On Tuesday (November 5), Amanda took to her Instagram Story to reveal a screenshot of her phone’s step counter, showing she walked almost 15,000 steps—over six miles in a day—burning around 481 calories. The 38-year-old She’s the Man actress proudly shared her progress, writing, “Down 6lbs! 154lbs now.”

Earlier this year, Amanda opened up about the struggles that impacted her weight. In a post back in March, she explained how her mental health challenges, particularly her battle with depression, led to a significant weight gain. “I’ve gained over 20 lbs. in the past few months from being depressed,” she shared at the time. She continued by saying she was feeling much better and had learned a powerful approach to combat her struggles. “I’m doing a lot better now and have learned to do opposite action when I don’t feel like working out or eating clean.”

Back then, Amanda mentioned weighing 162 pounds and shared a personal goal to reach 110 pounds. While she’s been gradually working toward her goal, her recent post reflects her progress and dedication to improving her well-being.

Amanda’s journey has been challenging and goes back several years. At the height of her acting career, she dealt with severe body image issues that led her down a difficult path with Adderall and other substances. Those struggles eventually contributed to her decision to step away from acting in 2012.

Since then, Amanda has been open about her ups and downs, giving fans insight into her mental health journey and her determination to move forward. Now, by focusing on her health and sharing her progress, she’s offering a glimpse into her path toward both physical and mental wellness.
