Last night, season 9 of American Idol kicked off with auditions in Boston with Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) as a guest judge!

We caught up with Kris Allen at Jingle Ball to talk about his album, his single and his life in general! Watch these vids:

Popstar! was backstage at Z100's Jingle Ball in NYC on Friday night! We got to hang out at the The Official H&M Artist Gift Lounge and spotted TONS of cool stars!

When we first arrived, American Idol alums Kris Allen and Alison Iraheta were snagging some goodies from the gift lounge!

Kris Allen was at the Wrigley 5 gum table when he said he prefers minty 5 Solstice gum. He told a story that when he was an early teen, he was roller skating with his girlfriend and he went in for the kiss. Surprise! she had been snacking on a pickle! (I hope Selena chews a lot of gum - she loves her pickles!)   

Later, another American Idol vet Adam Lambert came in and helped pedal Duracell to power the 2010 numbers on New Years Eve in Times Square!

Next I spotted Boys Like Girls members, and said "Hi" to Martin! The guys went over to the Hasbro Family Game Night table and said that they are crazy Scrabble freaks!  They also shared that they were so excited to perform their single with Taylor Swift for the first time later in the night! (It's called "Two is Better Than One!") They also said that Taylor is "such a sweetie!" (We think so too!)

Mark Indelicato from Ugly Betty also checked out the Hasbro table and played a little Connect Four!

I turned around and saw a gorgeous Jordin Sparks walk in! Her hair was curly and had red streaks! She was wearing a tight black dress! She made her way over to the WONKA candy table - I'd be eyeing it since I got there - and goofed off with a giant Nerds box!

I was busy watching Jordin when - OMJ- Justin Bieber walked in! He is still walking with his big boot but didn't look like he was in any pain at all!

He told us that he LOVES candy and took as much candy as he could from the Wonka table!

Then he checked out the LIV Fashion Dolls display. Silly Justin shook the dolls hands and said “so nice to meet all of you…my sister’s gonna flip when she sees you!” 

Guess he's done with her Christmas shopping!

Meanwhile, I spotted Anika Noni Rose (Disney’s The Princess & the Frog) at the Moroccanoil hair station!

Adam Lambert also said he loves the Moroccanoil hair products, especially the smell, and that he had some in his bag!

Performers Taylor Swift, The Fray, Owl City, Ke$ha, Jay Sean, and presenters Miranda Cosgrove, Leighton Meester, and Peter Facinelli all came in and snagged an awesome $500 H&M Gift Card and VIP Shopping Pass!

The H&M lounge had a fireplace with stockings and presents! So cool!

Here's actress Katrina Bowden from 30 Rock!

Shailene Woodley from The Secret Life of the American Teenager made a special appearance, picking up Scrabble from the Hasbro table! She said she and her boyfriend Tanner love it. She said it’s their favorite game and they play it almost every night! Fun!
