This year is our 11th birthday and to celebrate, we're having a huge contest!

We want you to watch our TWO videos of celebrities saying ‘Happy Birthday’ to Popstar! (Happy 11th Birthday Popstar! Part 1 and Part 2). Write down every single star you see in the vids (including still pictures). Once you have all the stars, e-mail the list to popstar@popstaronline.com with the subject title "Popstar! Birthday Contest". A couple special stars in black and white are "vintage" birthday shout-outs hehe!

Two winners (with the correct answers, picked randomly) will receive all four collector covers from our DEC09 issue - New Moon Confidential! WOW! The contest ends on Tuesday, November 3rd (the day the mag hits stores)!

1. SPONSOR: The Sponsor of this Popstar! 11th Birthday Contest ("Contest") is Popstar! Publishing, L.L.C., d/b/a Popstar!, 6052 Turkey Lake Road, Ste. 203, Orlando, FL 32819.

2. CONTESTANT ELIGIBILITY: Popstar! is seeking submission by members of the general public, between the ages of 13 and 18, of a list containing all the names of the stars appearing in parts one and two of our 11th birthday video compilations. Only e-mails conforming to Popstar! standards and practices as determined in its sole discretion will be eligible for consideration. Contestants aged 13-18 are required to have their parent or legal guardian's permission to enter as described below. Employees, agents or officers of Popstar! Publishing, L.L.C., d/b/a Popstar! or of any entity involved in the development, judging, production, implementation and distribution of the Contest, including any advertising or promotion agency, supplier of prizes for the Contest, parent company, service provider, subsidiary or affiliate of any such entity or any other entity directly associated with the Contest (collectively the "Contest Entities") or any member of the immediate family of and/or person living in the same household as such persons, are ineligible to enter the Contest.

From now through November 3rd, 2009 ("Term"), Popstar! Magazine ("Magazine") will promote, by means of a posting at PopstarOnline.com the opportunity to win the Grand Prize as detailed below. All times and days in these Official Rules ("Rules") are Eastern Standard Time. All information being collected hereunder is to be solely used in the administration of the Contest.

3. ENTRIES: Those wishing to enter the Contest must:

E-mail popstar@popstaronline.com a list of every star seen in parts one and two of our 11th birthday videos. No personal information is required other than a valid e-mail address.

4. JUDGING CRITERIA: All entries will be judged by Popstar!'s editors using the criteria:

A.    CORRECTNESS

Among all correct entries, two will be chosen at random. If none are completely correct, the most correct will be selected and two from them will be chosen at random.

5. LIMITATIONS: All entries must be submitted, as outlined in Section 3 above, by November 3rd, 2009, at 12:00 p.m. EST. Open only to persons between the ages of thirteen (13) and eighteen (18) years of age during the Term who are legal residents of, and physically located within, the 50 United States, its territories, or Canada ("Territory"). Contest entities are not responsible for technical malfunctions of the network and or transmission line, hardware and or software, uploading errors or inaccurate, incomplete, lost, mutilated, tampered with, altered, misdirected or late entries. Void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

6. PRIZE: TWO (2) GRAND PRIZES: The Grand Prize winners ("Winners") of the Contest will receive four copies of Popstar! DEC09, aka Movie Mania: New Moon Confidential, each with a different collectible cover.

Approximate retail value of the prize is $15.96. Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable. No substitution allowed except, at Sponsor's sole discretion, a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted.

7. WINNERS: will be notified by e-mail on or about November 3rd, 2009. Winner must meet all eligibility requirements. All responsibilities of the Winners under the Rules will be assumed by parent/legal guardian ("Parent"). Disqualification and the forfeiture of the prize may result from any of the following: [1] the return of any notification as undeliverable; [2] potential Winner's inability to provide a mailing address for the prize and [3] any other non-compliance with the Rules. If a potential Winner forfeits the prize, it will be awarded to an alternate winner as chosen by the judges. CONDITIONS: Each entrant by entering this Contest agrees that: [1] he/she will abide by and be bound by the Rules and Popstar!'s decisions; [2] the submission becomes solely Popstar!'s property and will not be acknowledged or returned, so no phone calls should be made by entrant to Popstar!'s offices to ascertain receipt; [3] none of the Contest Entities, nor any of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents or representatives (individually and collectively, "Releasees") are responsible for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of the prize or participation in this Contest or in any activity or travel related thereto which may occur prior, during, or subsequent to the Term as defined herein and associated with any deemed act or omission thereto including, but not limited to intentional acts or as the result of negligence; [4] Winner's acceptance of the prize constitutes the grant of an unconditional right to use Winner's name, address (city and state only), voice, likeness, photograph, biographical and prize information and/or statements about the promotion for any publicity, advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, in any media, worldwide, in perpetuity, except where prohibited by law; [5] in the event unauthorized human intervention, acts of God, acts or regulations of any governmental or supra-national authority, war, national emergency, accident, fire, riot, strikes, lock-outs, industrial disputes, acts of terrorism or other matters beyond Popstar!'s reasonable control, corrupt, prevent or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Contest, so that it cannot be conducted as originally planned, Popstar! has the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Contest; and in such event, to select a Winner from among all eligible entries received up to such time of cancellation, termination or suspension; [6] the Releasees are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to errors in the advertising, Rules and selection and announcement of the Winner; [7] any portion of the prize not accepted by the Winner will be forfeited and [8] the Releasees are not responsible for any inability of the Winner to accept or use any prize (or portion thereof) for any reason.

Looks like there are no hard feelings!

Who was best dressed? What guys were lookin' fine? 

Popstar! was the ONLY teen mag at Radio Disney yesterday for Fame co-stars Asher Book and Naturi Naughton! They were in the studio for the Radio Disney Take Over with Ernie D and the Top 30 Countdown with Jake!

Here are some tidbits from their radio interview!

-Naturi’s biggest challenge while making the film was learning how to play classical piano.
-Asher’s biggest challenge was – they had to pick an original ballad for his big solo. They had so many submissions that it took them forever to pick a song. They finally picked one 2 weeks prior to filming the scene so he had to learn how to play the song on piano in just two weeks, 
-They’ve been fortunate in that they’ve flown around the world doing Fame press, but their fave place was London. Naturi loved the tea and crumpets and shopping at Shop Bop. Asher loved the food! They both love trying new restaurants and eating. While in London they had Peking duck – neither had ever had duck before and they loved it! They said it was the best meal they’ve ever had. 
-When talking about their co-stars, Asher said Anna Maria has the most beautiful skin. 
-For Naturi – the graduation scene is her fave one.  
-Fun fact – Naturi used to compete in double-dutch and is a former champion!
-Asher said the Fame school audition process depicted in the movie is very similar to the real audition process for the school.

Popstar!: What are your plans for the premiere?

Naturi: Oh gosh! Well, to look fabulous! [Laughs] No um, we’re both performing.

Asher: Yeah, we’re both performing.

Naturi: So that’s part of our plans – preparing for our performance at The Grove in LA and it’s amazing. I think the premiere is going to be really special.

Asher: I think we’re just excited to finally have it happen and –

Naturi: Enjoy our day.

Asher: Really enjoy the day, for sure!

Popstar!: Of your family and friends, who is most excited to see you in the movie?

Naturi: My whole family.

Asher: I think everybody! Everybody – all my friends, everybody.

Naturi: My parents, my friends.

Asher: My mom couldn’t be more proud for sure! [Laughs]

Naturi: I think they’re very proud of us.

Popstar!: In the film you both sing and play piano. What other artistic talent would you like to have in real life?

Asher: Hmmmm…

Naturi: Well, Asher is like a guitarist and -

Asher: [Laughing] Supposedly in this movie I just play every instrument!

Naturi: He can do everything so would you like to -

Asher: I would actually like to play drums. I would love to play drums. I’ve always wanted to play them.

Naturi: Hmmm….I would probably…I don’t know – instrument…I don’t know. Uh – wait piano – I might -

Asher: Is there a style of dance that you’ve wanted to -

Naturi: Yeah, I’ve always wanted to do on-toe for ballet. I wish I could be like a -

Asher: On-point – is that what it’s called?

Naturi: Yeah, on-point. Thank you. I wish I could be a beautiful on-point ballerina – that would be really, really pretty, but it didn’t work out for me. [Asher laughs] Nah, I’ll stick with what I’ve got.

Popstar!: Who of your FAME cast members have you kept in touch with the most?

Asher: Everybody.

Naturi: We talk to them everyday or every other day.

Asher: Walter [Perez], Collins [Pennie], you name it.

Naturi: Yeah, Walter, Collins - we were just with Anna [Maria Perez de Tagle]. Kherington [Payne] we see a lot.

Asher: Me and Naturi are always together.

Naturi: We’re always together.

Asher: Inseparable! [Laughs]

Naturi: [Laughs] Yeah, pretty much! Inseparable! We’re all very close.

Popstar!: What future projects do you have coming down the pipe?

Naturi: Continue working.

Asher: Yeah, we’re just doing what we’re doing. Who knows?

Naturi: Asher’s band V Factory is coming out with another single so I’m sure -

Asher: Featuring Naturi!

Naturi: Yeah, it’s a really cool song.

Asher: Naturi’s got a movie coming out.

Naturi: I do. Um, well, I’m working on a movie. It’s not coming out quite yet. I’m shooting a movie in Atlanta with Ice Cube and Bow Wow called THE LOTTERY TICKET. I think just look forward to us going to the next plateau.

Asher: Yeah.

Naturi: We’re not going to let it stop here. FAME is just the beginning.

Fame is in theaters this Friday, September 25th!
